Join Coach Madison and Coach Alyssa to brush up your swing and get the bat flying!
Monday March 8th - players will be assigned a 30 minute assessment between 6-8pm. Coaches will evaluate players swings and divide the players into 4 groups designed to work on what your player needs help with, alongside similar skill level players.

Explosive Pitching Clinic 

Ages 11-20

Explosive Pitching: This unique pitching program will be ran by advanced and experienced pitching instructors. Advanced pitchers will learn isolated and specific movements to enhance their pitching development. This clinic is not for beginners or intermediate athletes. Pitchers must understand their bodies, movements and have previous training with coaches. There is a limit of 8 athletes for this clinic, to provide more attention from coaches. This training has never been done within Alberta before. This clinic is in tune with biomechanics of pitching and will take pitchers to exceptional levels. Focus is not only gain velocity on pitches, but to concentrate on the long-term health of pitchers’ bodies. NO catchers needed/permitted under phase 1 of Alberta relaunch.
This clinic is by VIDEO APPLICATION process. Please submit your video application to general@medhatminorsoftball.ab.ca
Please include: right side view, left side view, from behind pitcher and in front of pitcher.
Dry pitching (without a ball) is ok, preferably with a ball.
Please include in email: Athletes name, date of birth and age.
Deadline to apply: Monday Feb. 15th @11:59pm

$250 athletes MUST be insured through Softball Alberta.
**All 2020 Thunder players have active insurance.

Softball Saturdays

Location: Fieldhouse 3 - with batting cage.

Price: $27/athlete + Softball Alberta membership if required.

Registration will open MONDAY, Feb. 15 @8:00am.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST be registered as a player through Softball Alberta. This costs $15.00.

Softball Saturdays: All skill levels are welcome to join. These practices will cover fundamentals, mechanics, fielding, throwing, catching, hitting, base running and having fun! Our goal is to provide an opportunity to keep active in the sport and continue to develop in the sport that they love.

Covid protocols will be: Daily COVID Prescreening Traffic flow mitigation Equipment sanitization Player sanitization every 15 minutes Each player must have their own water, hand sanitizer and all personal equipment including bat & helmet NO spectators. Masks are required at all times for coaches and for all athletes, unless in active participation.
